16 Day Explorer Safari

Day 1:- Maun

Arrive at Maun airport, where your professional guide will meet you. Your guide will take you into the town of Maun where you will be able to change your money into the local currency & buy drinks for your safari. We spend the night at Sitatunga Croc Farm in fixed tented accommodation.

Day 2:- Kalahari

After an early breakfast we leave Maun & head for the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. We lunch en-route & see some of the Kalahari landscape. On arrival at our campsite we set up camp & it is then time to relax round the campfire with a drink while dinner is prepared. Our exclusive camp is situated in Deception Valley.

The serenity of the Kalahari scenery will mesmerise you.

Day 3 and 4:- Kalahari

We explore this remote Game Reserve extensively. This is the perfect opportunity to photograph the vast landscapes & see some of the animals & birds peculiar to the Kalahari. In some seasons huge herds of antelope may be seen. We take long game drives in the mornings & afternoon & relax by the campfire in the evening. Camping in Deception Valley.

Day 5:- Maun

After an early breakfast we return to Maun to re-provision for the rest of the safari. If you wish you may take a scenic flight in a small aircraft over the Okavango Delta at your own expense. We spend the night at Sitatunga Croc Farm in fixed tented accommodation.

Dat 6 and 7:- Okavango

After an early breakfast we head for the Moremi Game Reserve. We lunch en-route & on arrival at our campsite we set camp before an afternoon game drive. After we return from our game drive, it is time to relax around the campfire with a drink while dinner is prepared. We also spend a day on a boat exploring this part of the Delta. We camp in exclusive wilderness area near Xaxanaka.

Our first game drive in the Okavango on this safari gives us a taste of things to come.

Stage duration:2 Days

Day 8 and 9:- Moremi

We explore this beautiful game reserve extensively. This is an ideal opportunity to view & photograph the wealth of wildlife that resides in the North Eastern corner of the Delta. Long game drives in the mornings & afternoons with lazy midday siestas & wild African sunsets are the order of the day. Exclusive campsite in Khwai area.

Excellent game viewing makes the game drives unforgettable.

Stage duration:2 Days

Day 10:- Savuti

After an early breakfast, we break camp & head for Savuti. We lunch en-route & on arrival set up camp before an afternoon game drive.

The drive from Moremi to Savuti takes us across rolling dunes with abundant animal life.

Day 11:- Savuti

Savuti offers exciting wildlife & some of the most diverse landscapes in the Country, reminiscent of the Serengeti Planes in Tanzania. This area is well known for its large elephant, lion & hyena population. We will take a morning & afternoon game drive & visit an example of Bushman paintings.

Abundant game and the diverse landscape are the order today.

Day 12:- Chobe

We leave early for the Chobe National Park. We will have a lunch stop on the way, which will also serve as a chance to stretch our legs on this long journey. On arrival at our exclusive campsite, we set camp & have a midday siesta. In the afternoon we will set out on an afternoon game drive exploring the Chobe National Park.

Exploring the Chobe National Park in the afternoon gives ample opportunity to view and photograph wildlife.

Stage duration:1 Day

Day 13:- Chobe

The morning game drive gives us the opportunity to view large breeding herds of elephant & large herds of buffalo for which the Chobe National Park is famous. The afternoon boatcruise on the Chobe River offers a new dimension to game viewing with excellent photographic opportunities. We may see elephant crossing the Chobe River from Botswana to Namibia.

The boat cruise on the Chobe River gives a different angle to game viewing.

Stage duration:1 Day

Day 14:- Victoria Falls

After breakfast we head for the spectacular Victoria Falls. This great feature is only a short drive from the border of Botswana. On arrival, you will book into your accommodation, after which you are free to explore the Falls and their surroundings. Accommodation in Victoria Falls will be in a hotel on a B & B basis for two nights & is included in the cost of your safari.

After the short drive, you can spend the day at leisure.

Stage duration:1 Day

Day 15 and 16:- Victoria Falls

Your guide will advise you on the various activities at the Falls, which you might like to undertake, such as White Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping, Golf & Flights over Victoria Falls. All activities are at your own expense, as is transfer to Victoria Falls Airport, which the hotel will organise for you.

These days you can spend to partake in the various optional activities on offer.
